2016 | January Highlights

January you disappeared before our eyes this year, who knows where you went to but you’ve gone. It was a few weeks of catching up after Christmas and lots of family birthdays. I always think  haven’t done a lot until I come to write these highlights. I loved looking back on them in my review at the end of 2015, so thought I would carry it on. Love good memories!
Travel //  We started off the New Year with some travels, no where fancy or hot but in log cabs in the Yorkshire Dales with the whole family. Crazy times but a great way to bring the New Year in. Such a nice detox from routine, work and the madness of Christmas. Apart from that we haven’t ventured elsewhere apart from a few trips to Manchester for food and birthday celebrations. We did take the travelling plunge though and sign up for the   #Take12Trips challenge. You can read more about that here, but basically it is to plan out and take twelve trips throughout the year from proper holidays, to weekenders or a day trip you’ve always wanted to do.  Travel and adventures don’t have to be expensive or put off because of work or responsibilities, if you plan carefully you too could go on some amazing adventures this year.
Events //  I didn’t attend any events as such this month, however I did attend my first live football match. It was my boyfriends birthday so how could I say no ha. I have been on a stadium tour before however a stadium full of crazy football fans was a whole different ball game. I’m not the biggest football fan but attached to my lovely boyfriend, we wrapped up, grabbed a drink and headed over to Manchester United for a noisy afternoon. Having been to other live sporting events the atmosphere was the same and great, I have to say but ssh. Anticipation, excitement, anger and nerves it was all there. It is 100% better than watching it on TV and a great day out. Have you braved the crowds of fiery football fans before?

Blog //  To start the year off I shared with you our sneaky trip for some winter sunshine in Lanzarote with a little styling help from Luxemme and beauty sos help from Heaven Skincare. Aswell as our #Take12Trips pledge on the blog it was all about some amazing lifestyle boxes from My Little Box this month including the Magic and Dream editions. Lots for you to get stuck into if you fancy putting your feet up and losing your mind in loveliness for ten minutes.

Work //  January has been crazy but slow, barely anything apart from planning has gone down for Millefiori and Modello; uni deadlines have taken the forefront of all my spare time. In other news for the day job, it’s been none stop social media for the world of interiors. So, what did you get up to this month?
