Tag |  Week 1: I’m A Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out Of Here!

Hi Beauts,
here  we have another tag but this one is beauty related and really current. Some of my favourite twitter pals Rochelle and Natasha from Next Route Style Blog have created this tag to run along side the series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, which is currently on ITV & ITV2! It’s a really fun post to do and it’s not to late to start, get cracking. Lots of people are taking part!
Ok, so here goes with the first set of questions:
1) You can only take ONE product into the jungle (aka your luxury item). What would you choose and why?
2) What would be your main pre jungle worry?
3) You only have five minutes to get ready before going into the jungle, what would be your quick beauty routine?
4) Last year we saw Helen Flanagan wearing her hair in a top bun. What would be your signature hairstyle?
5) For moral support, which female celebrity would you like to be in the jungle with you?
6) Everyone’s given a role in the camp. What lifestyle skill would you bring to the jungle?
7) What one thing about being a beauty blogger sometimes makes you want to scream ‘Get Me Out Of Here’?
8) Challenge – This is a once in a life time opportunity. You’re up for a trial to face your fears or try something new, what would you choose to do and why?
A good set of questions, right? Some our tricky though!

1) My luxury item would have to be my Elizabeth Arden (fragrance free) 8 hour cream. Multi-functional but definitely a MUST to stay hydrated in the lip and skin areas.
2) Hmm, pre-jungle worry. I would not cope with the creepies in any way, at all! However, also not to have fresh running water all of the time. I would not last at all, would I?
3) One last quick shower 😀 with a gorgeous smelling shower gel.
4) Considering the heat, definitely a side bun behind my ear. Nice and simple!
5) Ahh I have no idea, I think someone I could learn from for sure. Going to have a think about that one.
6) If I got past the first night I would say cleaning as much as possible….to keep as many crawlies away as possible (are you seeing a running theme here now haha?).
7) Fitting everything in around each other. With a full-time job and studying for my second degree it’s mayhem central in ‘Locked In A Bow’ land.
8) I’m not quite sure of the names, but I would say one of the more physical water challenges etc or mental puzzle ones (no bugs, it’s one fear well more of a phobia I cannot face.)
Right, I now need to think about something else haha what a wimp. I hope you have enjoyed this post, please don’t forget to check out Roch and Tash’s post and blog linked at the top. Yes and YOU yes all of you are now tagged to do this too. Copy the eight questions into your blog, then wait for the next challenge in the series. Enjoy and don’t forget to pass on to your readers.

Hannah xx

What’s In My Bag? – (travel)

What’s In My Bag? – (travel edition)

Hi Beauts,
Firstly sorry for the delay between now and my last blog I have been busy with lots of birthday celebrations as well as getting ready for my autumn holidays. So now on with this little post then, if you are anything like me I love to see what other people take away with them. So I thought I would share mine with you! This is just for my toiletries, if you would like to see inside my holiday makeup bag let me know below.

So before we go any further how cute is this wash bag? You can’t go wrong with Cath Kidson if you are after prettiness, they always deliver! Whilst ordering some last minute holiday clothes on ASOS I came across this little beauty it was also in the sale for £12. So amazing for this brand. There are quite a few bags etc in the range, definitely check them out. Cuteness factor aside there were so many other reasons I added this to my shopping bag.

1. I’d had mine for a few years now, it was getting a little scruffy.
2. This is fully wipeable, so useful for accidental spills and the general messiness with cosmetics.
3. Inside (see above) both sections are sealed with a zip and have see through material so you can see everything you have in there. Which makes it so much easier trying to find things.
So there you have it a little look into the essentials I take with me when travelling, each time I go away the brands may very slightly depending on what i’m currently using at the time (summer/winter depending). I will always have something in one of the categories above though! As well as these items I also had a pack of Heaven Skincare wipes and my Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser which didn’t fit in unfortunately. This spray has been so useful lately, being so busy it really is your best friend. A quick spray all over and you are ready to get dressed five minutes later. Yes Please! Look out for a detailed review very soon.
What are your fave things to take away with you?
Do you have anything extra to me?
Love and Smiles,
Hannah xx

Breast Cancer Awareness Month – October

Breast Cancer Awareness month, October ’13
Hi beauts,
so a bit of a different post here today, it’s only going to be brief however still crucially important and very close to my heart! For nearly every one of you reading this blogpost breast cancer will have affected you in someway throughout your life, whether this be yourself, a friend or family member.
However there is hope, so much positive research has taken place over the past few years and survival rates are improving. This is hugely down to ladies and girls becoming more aware due to massive campaigns and also teaching which is now implemented within education.
It is crucial that you know how to check yourself and are familiar with what is normal for you so that early detection can be diagnosed; this highly increases the chance of recovery. You should ideally be checking yourself weekly and learn to make it as part of your routine.
Throughout the whole of October there has been so many campaigns and merchandise available to help raise awareness. This year was no different. ‘Ticked Pink’ items and similar are available for everyone from ‘pink’ socks at Asda to makeup compacts at high-end brands. Something for everyones budget.
However something for free which everyone enjoys wearing, similar to the memorial poppies or the red noses for comic relief Breast Cancer Awareness has the pink ribbon to signify there cause. This is now becoming recognised over the past few years and definitely one that most people even the boys wouldn’t mind pinning to there coat or bags.
It cost nothing to show your support and if you doing this helps one lady to think about getting checked then it was a million times worth it.

The pink ribbon above I have seen in both Debenhams and Boots stores, it is absolutely fabulous to see such big chain stores showing there support. You can find these ribbons on the Estee Lauder and Clinque counters as well as many more Imagine, being the last week in Octover I ask you if your popping by to nip in and pick up your own gorgeous ribbon! It also comes with a little booklet. This shows the beauty brands undetr Estee Lauders beauty family who are showing their support aswell as some statistics, which always hits home when you have something like this in front of your face. No running away people!

More important;y though it definds eight ways to defeat breast cancer.
1. Examine your breasts regularly and report any changes to your physician.
2. See your doctor regularly for breast examinations in your 20s and 30s.
3. Get annual mammograms at 40, or earlier if you are high-risk.
4. Eat fibre and antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables.
5. Maintain a healthy weight. Extra weight means extra risk.
6. Limit your alcohol intake.
7. Do not smoke, and quit if you do.
8. Get at least 45 minutes of physical activity daily.

If you want to find out more you can check out www.cancer.org or tweet/instagram using the hashtag #BCAStrength to show your support and talk to other people. Go say hi people!

Thankyou so much for taking the time to read this post it means a lot. Remember to look after yourself, family and friends girlies.

Love and Smiles,
Hannah xx

heaven skincare ~ Celebrity Skin Wipes & Makeup Remover

A pinch of Heaven and a wash of gorgeousness!
Hi Beauts,
Hannah again here, today I am so excited to bring you two items which you really cannot do without. Every makeup wearer has to take their makeup off, right? You will all have your own preference as to how you like to do this however i’m here today to tell you all about Heaven Skincare’s approach.
Brand creator Deborah Mitchell believes there is nothing more important than looking after you skin. Whether this be your vital daily care or the extra pamper treatments which are really nutritious and enriching for the skin. Today I’m going to introduce to you the infamous Ellajane Celebrity Skin Wipes and their Eyebright makeup remover.
Eye Bright – Makeup Remover

The way I have enjoyed using these products is to use the makeup remover first followed by the wipes.  The texture of this remover for me is perfect, not to thick it feels like more of a lotion. Which in my opinion is good as you don’t want it too runny either, making it tricky to apply. It never fails to feel more luxorious when using a lotion! I like to apply lotion onto a cotton pad and then gently apply a little pressure to my face for a few seconds before wiping free the makeup. This is exactly the way I like to use this remover from Heaven aswell!
You don’t need a lot of this to remove all of your makeup (depending on the amount of makeup you’re wearing obviously). I used the amount in the pic below to remove a light everyday makeup look. As with all Heaven Skincare the products are organic and in no way harmful to the skin, so you are able to use this to remove your eye makeup aswell, fabulous!
How i used this for my eyes? Another bonus to this is that it contains Herb Eyebright, which helps the appearance of the eyes to look whiter which I haven’t seen before. So, I used two clean pads with a little lotion applied to both, after gently pressing them on for about thirty seconds (don’t forget to enjoy the heaven goodness ahhh) I then wriggled them slightly just to lift the makeup onto the pad. Lastly I just used the clean edge of the pad to remove any last pesky traces. As quick as that you have removed all your makeup without itchy eyes or redness on the face appearing, perfect! I have sensitive eyes so these problems occur with a lot of makeup removers, making it quite the mission when searching for new brands, but alas I think I may have found a contender for my top three here.
Beautifully presented organic skincare.
I am so impressed, this is something I will carry on using and definitely will be wanting add to my collection well its all gone. This is a higher priced product (from £14.50) compared to your usual chemist brands however I feel that when it comes to skincare I would definitely consider spending that little bit more to not only ensure you get amazing results but also to care for your skin. You ideally don’t want to be putting chemical filled products onto your skin daily; not only is this dangerous for your skin over time but this is one of the main reasons why people get acne and other skin conditions unintentionally thinking they are doing good. Safe cleansing and skincare is key! Something to think about girls and boy, right?
Celebrity Skin Wipes

Once we have removed all our makeup, we are all fresh and a 100% clean aren’t we? Wrong! However much of a thorough makeup removal we do it is impossible for there not to be little traces left. This is where I found these wipes to come in a treat. Although these could be used for a full makeup remover I prefer to use them after I have cleaned the majority so i’m not transferring product around my face. They are also a prefect step to remove and balance any extra built up oils that have occurred through the day before you go onto you cleanse tone and moisturise routine. The peppermint oils on the wipes really helps with this element.

I love this step, I find the cold moist nature of the wipes really refreshing and relaxing. I have enjoyed using them in the morning whilst no products are on my skin. A brilliant pick me up. The apple pectin especially helps to exfoliate the skin cells so be assured if using the wipes in this way you will still get a thorough cleanse to set you up for the day. I am looking forward to taking a pack of these on holiday with me at the beginning of November. I don’t really wear to much makeup on holiday so these are going to be a fab for a quick and convenient cleanse throughout the day. The fab compact packaging makes it super easy to just pop in your bag for quick use on your travels.
I know the beauty industry is divided by the use of facial wipes, however if you are a fan I definitely think you should give these a whirl, these would be a perfect introduction to the brand for you. I personally feel that if you can keep up a proper cleanse and tone routine there is nothing wrong with using a wipe to aid and make sure you have removed every trace.
Ok so now we have got your makeup removed we can now move on to looking after that beautiful skin of yours.
Have you heard and tried of Heaven Skincare yet?
What is your preferred method of makeup removal?
Love and Smiles,
Hannah xx
