June, a total whirlwind as they say. Family birthdays, deadlines, days out and holiday memories it may have been crazy but there was lots of fun things packed in along the way. With deadlines all coming to an end June was the time to breathe a little sigh of relief and dream about a good nights sleep once my mind remembered how to stop a little.

My Little Box | Fresh Roses | Pantone Colour Swatches

April for me has been a total blur, a washout of month and one I don’t really want to repeat. Full of uni deadlines and ill health beyond my control. However not to be a negative nelly as we don’t like her. We are four weeks closer to summer with one deadline to go and fingers crossed I am over the worst illness for now. It’s crazy writing this the day after we had snow in England but the sunshine months are literally around the corner, I am that excited I could pop. Ha!

I started my Instagram logs last month and it seemed to go down well so I thought I would share all the best bits of this month too, I wouldn’t want you to miss out now. For such a weird month my feed turned out to be a pastel lovers dream. There is nothing I love more than giving gifts and when you find a cute card it makes the treat all the more special. The beginning of the month brought glorious sunshine and a rare free day which meant basking in the rays and drawing pictures in the sand.

With a quick switch in the weather, cosy indoor evenings meant I could catch up and delve into my subscription boxes and what a treat that was, little surprises can brighten up anybody’s day. Despite the crazy weather beautiful blooms of all kinds have been appearing, gorgeous scents and spring like colours, my fave! Talking of colours, I had a special delivery from Pantone, the masters of colours. Many of you may think I am crazy crushin’ on these, but what you don’t know is they mean the start of very big things in Summer so they were super exciting for me.

How did you April turn out?  Any good thoughts to share with us all?

The Resolution Review | 2015.

I can’t quite believe that 2016 has struck, the last year was seriously the fastest of my life. I was stunned at the end of each month.
I’m not generally a fan of all the typical ‘New Year New Me’ ‘Let’s Get Fit’  Let’s Stop Smoking’ resolutions, I try to keep some balance and be realistic about what a new year can bring. However after a tough year I did set some personal goals to aim towards in 2015 to give me something to focus on and feel better about the time to come; both personal and work wise. I thought I would take a quick look back and see how far I got.
1. Travelling – obvious yes I know but this was something I was keen to get back in my life, that didn’t quite happen in terms of big trips however, weekend trips to Paris and London coupled with a winter sun week in Lanzarote to start December off. We also ended the year in Log Cabins with the whole family which was a lovely surprise. So no major holidays, but looking back on my 2015 Highlights it’s amazing how exciting little adventures add up to a fulfilled year. New Zealand to visit one of my oldest best friends didn’t happen however the savings and plans are in place, so maybe 2016 could be the year if it fits in for us both.
2. Looking after Myself and Special Few – I was really concious of the fact that I NEEDED to take time to rest and keeping myself healthy this year. For the most part this was fairly successful. I am becoming more comfortable to turn things down and stop when it’s needed. Saying no sometimes though is still really difficult but I don’t think I can ever change that fully. For our trip in December, where the wifi wasn’t the best I totally had a detox from everything, life, online distractions, work. Totally bliss and 100% worth taking a few days out. 2015, allowed me to spend a little more time with family and friends during weekends and evenings, it’s so important and really puts me in a good mood when I can spoil, listen and be the with people who mean the most. More of this please!
3. Not letting the small things take over – yay for this, I tried my hardest to not let trivial things be a distraction. A problem is not a problem till it has happened. Sometimes it is hard but I am definitely learning not to worry about things or situations that may never happen until and if they do. This is a top tip, don’t let the weight on your shoulders sit there until it needs to be.
4. Flair and Creativity – I shared that not only had I enrolled in further study to fulfil my floral design dreams alongside this blog but the exciting news to launch my business Millefiori & Modello. A floral design, gift ware and style business both online and to local customers. This definitely did happen, we are now live on all social media platforms with our new website/blog launching later this year. It really was a great start to the business with the pleasure of creating for several weddings and Christmas events throughout the year. With the new launch and expansion to gift ware (tags, cards and papers etc) and event signs it should be even more exciting in the next few months. A huge thankyou to everyone who has supported @milleanddello so far.
It’s great looking back on what your previous intentions and goals were. To see where you were at that time in your life, how far you have come and what you like to achieve looking forward however big or small. I am really pleased to see that I have done and succeeded in more areas than I thought when I sat down to write this post. I did have many adventures and made progress where I wanted to….there are still things sitting up there which I think I will always be working towards, but here’s to more steps forward.
Are you a fan of resolutions and little targets?

My Little Magic Box | December

Well My Little Box really pulled it out of the bag for their final lifestyle box of the year. Amazing from start to finish, I think it’s actually my favourite. The Little Magic Box captured the festivities in every way.
The first thing I noticed was the comeback of the glossy magazine. I much prefer this format, so sleek and easier to read. From seeing everyone’s Instagram snaps the gifts varied this time, however they were all brilliant and mostly high end.
For the beauty bits this week I received:
Nars Blusher in Orgasm – Despite the crazy name this is a highly coveted product in the beauty world and for good reason. It suits most skin tones, rosey toned with a fleck of shimmer which adds just the right amount of colour to your cheeks.
My Little Beauty – Nail Polish Duo, a midnight navy and a gold glitter you definitely can’t go with that pairing. They painted on really smoothly and only need two thin layers for a really opaque nail and of course who doesn’t want glitter!
Rituals – Honey Touch Body Cream, wow I’ve not smelt a moisturiser this heavenly for a long time, with notes of rose and sweet honey this really is a delight. It is light to apply and soaked into the skin quickly. It is my first experience of rituals and I loved it, yay for subscription boxes.

The lifestyle pieces were equally as magical.

Makeup Bag – This was the first goody to catch my eye. With soft denim and gold hardware this really is adorable, perfect for short trips or to store your everyday makeup in.
Mittens – To go along with the blue winter theme these navy mittens with foldable tips are so cute. I love the gold thread running, it’s all in the details right. I love my hat and gloves so this was a great surprise.
Kusmi Tea – Finally was a cute little tin of tea. I’m not the biggest on hot drinks usually however this flavour infused tea is something I will definitely try, will you win me over Kusmi? If not I know a little mister who will enjoy this for sure.

What a bunch of goodies aye? My Little Box you really excelled yourself this month. I can’t wait to see what the new year will bring.

What would you like to see in a lifestyle box of your dreams?

My Little Dream Box | April

I have to admit this post is way late, however I just came across these photos which never made it to the blog. I thought it was still cute enough to share, as I have with all the other My Little Boxes over the past year.
This pretty delight was the My Little Dream Box and dreamy it was. With a pastel theme and inspirational quotes throughout you are easily transported to somewhere lovely.
If you are new to My Little Box it is a monthly lifestyle box with a whole mix of little goodies inside.  Usually a beauty item, with perhaps a fashion accessory or cute piece of stationery. Obviously you can’t now purchase this box however some of the bits inside are available .
This hasn’t been my favourite box however I did love the rotation stamp and ink pad, so retro and cute. Plus it’s mint green, these little stampers are perfect for adding a sweet little touch to letters or notes.
In the Box:

My Little Beauty: Nourisishing Hair Mask.
Sabe Masson: Solid perfume in Copacabana.
Lou Lesage: Loved – Lip and Cheek Tint.
Delphine Pariente: Charm Pendant necklace/bracelet.
Slogan: Rotatable Stamper and Ink Pad.
Don’t forget —– If you can dream it, you CAN do it !!!
